General Requirements

  • Minimum €30,000 coverage per insured event
  • Policy must be valid for the entire duration of your stay
  • War risk coverage strongly recommended for all travelers

  • Insurance must be from a provider recognized in Ukraine

Who Legally Needs Insurance?

Under Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine on Insurance, travel insurance is mandatory for:

  • Journalists
  • Reporters
  • Correspondents
  • Media representatives
  • Opinion leaders

For all other travelers — tourists, business visitors, students, and volunteers — travel insurance is strongly recommended but not legally mandated. However, border officials may request proof of insurance upon entry.

  • Minimum €30,000 coverage
  • Coverage for the entire duration of your intended stay
  • Your full name matching your passport
  • Policy number and dates of coverage
  • Name of the insurance provider
